Sirkka is a multidisciplinary artist, researcher, and filmmaker. Currently investigating: the land and its agency; the material relationships between people and the places they live; and how we might build democratic confederalism in the imperial core. She was raised in the traditional territory of the Raymatush Ohlone people (also known as San Francisco) where she still resides.
Sirkka holds an MS in human ecology from University of Wisconsin-Madison. An open-access article based on her thesis research was published through Antipode, which you can read here.
